Transcreation is a creative means of engaging with texts. It acknowledges that there is no such thing as a "perfectly faithful" translation, and instead strives to actively or even self-consciously incorporate the perspective of the translator.
In doing this, transcreation breaks down the hierarchy between "original" and "derivative" texts, and can be put to profoundly empowering or even subversive uses.
The WiSe 2018/19 pages are a collection of experiments in transcreation.
The SoSe 2019 pages are a unified portfolio, collected around the specific topic of our choice.
